Guy Clutterbuck has spent the last twenty years buying rough and cut
gemstones in Africas and Asia specifically Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Madagascar, Pakistan, Afganistan , Myanmar, Thailand and Sri LAnka. He learnt to cut gemstones in Thailand and graduated from the Gemmological Institute of America. His main markets are Europe and the US.
Guy has also acted as a guide to remote and dangerous areas of the gem-related world for various media personalities. Jon Simpson considered
his trip with Guy to the mountains of Afghanistan as one of his most memorable, and relates some amusing anecdotes of the journey in his
autobiography "Strange Places, Questionable People", particularly on page 504.
